On the right is the converted tower turned into a radio outpost. This was the setting of the game's opening cinematic and is taken out by the heroes in the opening moments of the game.

Doomstadt city architecture was intended to be a combination of traditional germanic inspired architecture at one level, combined with "eastern bloc" inspired concrete foundations.
At the end of the level players discover Electro has taken over the Chapel into a giant lightning rod that powers the villains propaganda broadcasts. It was intended to look like makeshift grafting onto the architecture of the chapel.
Doomstadt City Streets
I intended the buildings to have several tiers, so the players could choose to navigate at different heights on the street and have "over and under" type traversals.
